2023 4th International Conference on Smart Grid and Energy Engineering (SGEE 2023)

November 24-26, 2023   Zhengzhou, China


The 4th International Conference on Smart Grid and Energy Engineering, held from November 24 to 26, 2023, concluded successfully at Zhengzhou University of Light Industry in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. The conference was hosted by Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, with support from the IEEE PES Smart Buildings, Loads and Customer Systems Technical Committee (China). It was co-organized by Henan Normal University, Henan University of Urban Construction, Huanghe Science and Technology College, and Sanya Zongheng Energy Research Institute, and was jointly undertaken by the Henan Electrotechnical Society and the AEIC Academic Exchange Center.

The opening ceremony of the conference was hosted by Professor He Ping, Dean of the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Zhengzhou University of Light Industry. The opening addresses were delivered by Wang Yanfeng, Vice President of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, and Zhang Hongtao, Vice Chairman of the Henan Electrotechnical Society. Several leaders from various institutions attended the conference.

The conference invited Professor Wen Fushuan, IEEE Fellow from the College of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, Professor Liu Xuan from Hunan University, Professor Wang Yang from Sichuan University, Professor Bian Jing from Northeast Electric Power University, and Associate Professor Shen Yongpeng from Zhengzhou University of Light Industry to attend the conference and deliver keynote speeches at the main forum. In addition, the conference invited internationally renowned pioneer and founder in the field of power systems, IEEE Fellow Professor Dong Zhaoyang (from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore), as well as the globally highly cited scientist in the field of Italian power systems and smart grids, Professor Pierluigi Siano (from the University of Salerno, Italy), to participate online and deliver keynote presentations.

The conference also set up two parallel oral presentation sessions, where multiple scholars from universities, enterprises, and research institutions shared their paper reports on relevant research areas. Six recipients were selected on-site for the "Best Oral Presentation" award.

The conference was conducted through keynote speeches, oral presentations, and poster displays, attracting experts and scholars from multiple universities both in China and abroad to gather together. The total number of participants, both online and offline, exceeded 200. The on-site exchange atmosphere was vibrant, with domestic and international experts and scholars engaging in thorough discussions. The event presented a high-level, international, and forward-looking academic feast with rich content, promoting international academic exchange, cooperation, and development in the field of electric power, grid, and energy research.
